Ashley Thayer is a long time friend and one of our favorite painters. Each quilt design is a variation of a traditional American block pattern using individually dyed fabrics; no two pieces are uniform. Each quilt reflects Ashley's interest in flattening the perception of light and shadow and sunlight penetrating water. She dyes all the fabric, sometimes multiple times, using low immersion and tie dye techniques. All of Ashley's quilts are hand pieced, sewn, and quilted in her studio on a very basic Singer sewing machine.

This quilt measures 37" x 45". It is a one of a kind piece. All quilts are 100% cotton and have been prewashed. Colors will not
