Fall 2010: You Know I'm A Dreamer
Friday, August 20, 2010
Our new season has finally arrived and should be in
stores starting next week and online starting now! Fall is always our favorite season and this
year we showcased proper bird's eye tweeds, classic tartans, and rich
cruelty-free microsuedes. There's organic glenplaid as well for the
green folk, and sunny, goldenrod-yellow flannel check in homage of
Indian Summer. We also pay tribute to one of our favorite literary
heroes, the chameleon-like Sherlock Holmes, with our traditional tweed
and plaid pairings.
This season's lookbook was shot in the ecological wonder known as the
Palms to Pines drive. In the space of thirty miles it passes through
five ecological zones with Sonoran Desert on one end and Arctic Alpine
on the other. It is a true example of the rich diversity and natural
beauty of California. In one amazing weekend, with Ray Potes of
Hamburger Eyes and our friends Ashley, Helen and Phil in tow, we had
non-stop mindblowing moments of pure epicness. We stayed in a cabin
with a piano; let's just say there were some Motley Crue moments (and
this was pre-Hot Tub Time Machine). We also visited Courtney and Brian
at their restaurant, The Mountain,
which took our tastebuds on their very own trip. You can check out
their beautiful cabin and the rest of the lookbook here.
Stay tuned for a Super 8 clip by Bailey coming soon and check out the
new collection in our shop. Shoes should hit stores
starting next week. Come by next weekend to our shop on Fairfax if
you're looking to see them in person!

It's been a while since we just checked in and shared a Keep day with
you. There's been lots of changes happening here, not just with the
seasons, but life too. Every ending is a beginning and we are coming
full circle with that concept. We're pumped on our Fall season hitting
stores now, but it's kinda crazy how hot it's been here in Los Angeles.
It doesn't feel autumnal yet; if anything, it's only getting to the
heart of Summer out here in SoCal.
In celebration of Zach's last day before he moves back to the Yay, we
all went out to Local, one of our go-to lunch spots. Jack was working
and he showered us with positivity, which always makes the lunch go down
even better. They should bottle that and make good service and
positive vibes a condiment. Zach mowed his favorite dish. Can't get
that in the Bay, but hey, there's lots of great stuff there too (we envy
your easy access to Tartine, Emmy's Spaghetti Shack, and Hamburger Eyes
-- in that order. Just kidding Ray.)
Then we moseyed up to Lark and chomped on some desserts. If you're in
the area go on Wednesdays. You get a free cupcake with your coffee or
your cupcake purchase. What a deal! But it was Friday, so we just
sucked it up. FYI the strawberry shortcake cupcakes have custard in the
center. Whuuuuut?!
I know what you're thinking: Don't you guys work? But hey, it's Friday
and a special occasion. Last weekend we feasted in K-town and
karaoke-d for hours in honor of our boy Eddie (and Zach too). It was
all Sade, Boyz II Men, TLC, Tupac, Whitney Houston, and Madonna up in
the house. No pictures from that night though. Some things gotta stay
in the family.
Here's wishing you all a very happy weekend. Happy Friday!
